Special Events

Girl Scout Leader Dinner – This dinner, a recognition of the scout leaders in the Levittown-Bristol area, is held each year in March near Juliet Lowe’s (The founder of Girl Scouts) birthday.  It is a fun evening with games, prizes, laughter and community.  units select a Leader of the Year and we honor them with a speech, a plaque and flowers.  They love the evening and so do we.

Scholar Athlete Banquet – This event is usually held the Wednesday following the Sesame Classis 5K Race. Two students, one male and one female, are chosen by their school’s athletic directors for demonstrating both exemplary athletic ability and scholastic excellence, as well as community involvement. A banquet is held in their honor, and they are awarded honorariums and gifts of recognition for their outstanding performance in the classroom, the field, and the community.

Student Of The Year – Local students who have distinguished themselves academically and through their community involvement are selected by school counselors from six local high schools and are recognized with a monetary gift and special banquet.

Induction and Installation Dinner – In October our Kiwanis Officers are inducted into open positions to serve during the new term.  The Lieutenant Governor usually attends this special dinner to retire end of term officers and install the new officers. We also take this time to recognize new members to the club.

Club Holiday Dinner – Yearly event where our club members gather to celebrate our accomplishments in the community throughout the year.  It is a family friendly event with games, fun, prizes and laughter.  We celebrate the great contributions we have made throughout the year by providing those in need in our community with financial assistance, resource referrals, contributions, acknowledgement and recognition, special events, and always, a kind and gentle helping hand.
